Giles Leonard Reid, aged 78, died Monday, May 14, 1984.

Services were held Wednesday, May 16, 1984 at First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Rev. Jerry Parker, Pastor officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. The pallbearers were: Pat Aderholt, Rim Eads, Bevard Dukes, Dale Francis, Al Gomez, Mike Geesler, Steve Zybach and Wayne Zybach.

Mr. Reid was born in Erath County. He moved to Wheeler County in 1922. In 1927, he married Zelma Johnston in Wheeler. They moved to Wheeler two years ago. Mr. Reid had been a farmer all of his life and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Zelma; four daughters, Mary Lee Gilliland, Ruby Francis, and Sally Dillman, all of Pampa, and Gena Zybach of Briscoe; two brothers, Levi and Otis, both of Wheeler; a sister, Ozie Cox of Stephesville [sic] and eleven grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren.

Zelma Lee Reid, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1993.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. M.B. Smith of Pampa and the Rev. Warren Schoenecker, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reid was born in Chillicothe. She moved to Wheeler County with her family in 1922. She married Leonard Reid in 1927 at Wheeler. He died in 1984. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Francis, in 1984.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Gilliland of Pampa, Gena Zybach of Briscoe and Sally Dillman of Carrollton; three brothers, Ollen Johnston of Pineville, La., Paul Johnston of Oxnard, Calif., and Lawrence Johnston of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Tovar of Garden Grove, Calif., and Mary Byerly of Fritch; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Wheeler Care Center.
