George L. Richardson, 74, died Monday, July 21, 1986.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Thursday, July 24, 1986, with Rev. Mike Struve, pastor, and Rev. M.B. Smith of Pampa officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetry [sic] by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Richardson was born at Troupe and moved to Wheeler County in 1923. He was a farmer and rancher, and was manager of Wheeler County Farm Bureau from 1950 to 1977. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Wheeler Lions Club. He married Verna Ruth Clemens in 1932 in Erick, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth of Pampa; three daughters, Sandra Crowder of Chickasha, Okla., Glenda Gaines of Amarillo and Connie Taylor of Odessa; four brothers, Gordon of Fritch, Thurman of Panhandle, Newton of Canyon and Tony of Loma Vista, Calif.; four sisters, Dorothy Mansel of Groom, Ella May Bearden of Pampa, Norma Henson of La Russell, Mo., and Judy Leonard of Wichita, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
