WHEELER, Feb. 3 - Funeral services for Cecil William Richerson, killed Friday night in a car-train collision 12 miles east of Amarillo, were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Kirk Chapel in Wheeler.

The Rev. M.B. Smith of Pampa, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery.

Richerson, 30, had spent all of his life in Wheeler with the exception of two years in military service and the past year, when he was employed by Southwestern Public Service Co. at Denver City.

Mr. and Mrs. Grover Seitz and Everett L. Day of Pampa were killed in the accident in which Richerson was fatally injured. Mrs. Day died Sunday of injuries suffered in the accident which occurred when the car in which the five persons were riding crashed into the side of a Rock Island freight engine at Royal Switch on F.M. Road 1912.

Richerson is survived by his wife, Reba Sue, and four daughters: Sue Ann, Sybil Jan, Sally Nan and Shari Zan, all of Denver City; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Cecil Richerson of Wheeler; his grandmother, Mrs. G.A. Boltin of Canyon, and five brothers and sisters, Mrs. Betty Jean Kindley of Tulsa, Mrs. Joan McWhorter of Wheeler, and Rondel Dean, Phyllis K. and Ella Mae Richerson, all of the home.
