WHEELER - Ed Riley, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, in Norman, Okla.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Weatherly, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Riley was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Shamrock to George Thomas and Mary Ann Riley. Ed had lived in Wheeler all of his life until they moved to Tuttle, Okla., in 2003. He owned a trucking business in Wheeler. He married Erma Tucker in Wheeler in 1934. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon for 37 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 47 years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Bob E. Riley of Marshall; two daughters, Nelda Cote of Newport News, Va., and Ann Henderson of Tuttle; a brother, Earl Riley of McLean; three sisters, Minerva Jones of Wheeler, and Wilma Barker and Hannah Chapman, both of Shamrock; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
