*Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. James Enoch Risner, 74, were held Sunday, August 9, 1970 at the First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Rev. McCormick officiating. Rev. M.B. Smith assisted.

Mr. Risner was born February 18, 1896 in Waynesburgh, Tennessee. He passed away at Parkview Hospital Saturday, August 8, after a lengthy illness of years.

Mr. Risner moved to Wheeler in 1914, moved and returned to Wheeler County in 1929. He moved to Wheeler in 1929 and was custodian at Wheeler County Courthouse from 1932 un1945. ? City Water Superintendent from 1945 until he retired in 1964. He was Adjutant of the Western American Legion in Wheeler for many years. He was a veteran of WW I and a Deacon in the First Baptist Church and also served on the Wheeler School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Hettie Mae of Wheeler; three sons, James "Scotty" of Longview, Adrian R of Wheeler, and Henry F. of Wheeler; two brothers, Hobert M. Risner of Wheeler and Frank of Wheeler; one sister, Fannie Belle Baxter of Ft. Worth; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and twenty-nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, four sisters and one brother.

Pall bearers were Donald Rives, Roy Ford, Bob Douthit, Albert Marshall, Charlie Waters, Stuart Dixon, Virgil Helton, and M.L. ??rie.

Interment was in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
