Mrs. Jessie Birdella Roberts, died Saturday, may 4 in Shamrock General Hospital.
She was born June 29, 1900 in Mangum, Oklahoma. She moved to Wheeler in 1920. She was a telephone Operator at Wheeler and Wellington for 20 years. She moved to Shamrock in 1964 and had been a practical nurse in Wheeler and Shamrock for the past 30 years. She married Wash Roberts in 1955 in Shamrock. He died in 1963.
She was a member of First Methodist Church, Shamrock.
She is survived by two stepsons, Hubert Roberts of Glen, Mississippi and Bill Roberts of Weatherford, Texas and 7 nieces and nephews.
