MIAMI - Willie Buck Rodgers, 66, died Thursday, April 26, 2007.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Stiles officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Rodgers was born Feb. 13, 1941, in Wheeler to Willie Fred and Arizona Pettit Rodgers. He graduated from Wheeler High School in 1959. Mr. Rodgers served in the Army from 1963 through 1969.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter and welder. Mr. Rodgers had lived in Miami for a year, moving from Canadian.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Beth Hill and Faye Schmucher; and a grandson, Zach Rodgers.
Survivors include a son, Timm Rodgers of Miami; five sisters, Mary Kennedy of California, Esther Simpson of Twin Falls, Ind., Kaye Moore of Missouri, Lois Downey of Wheeler and Mildred Miller of Pittsburg, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
