SUDAN - Gillrie Alene Rogers, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, in Dallas.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church of Sudan with the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor of First Methodist Church of Levelland, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Wheeler, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mrs. Rogers was a resident of Sudan from 1952-2005 and was currently a resident of Dallas. She was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Kelton to James Zebulin and Ora Itura Slaughter Baird. She was a homemaker and a member of First Methodist Church of Sudan. She was our beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Wayne E. Rogers of Dallas; a son, Monte V. Rogers of Houston; a daughter, Gaylene Rogers Lonergan of Dallas; a granddaughter, Gwyneth Rogers Lonergan of Dallas; and a sister, Loraine Wagner of Plainview.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
