WHEELER - Helen Rose Sabbe, 91, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor, and the Rev. Jim Jamieson of Guymon, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sabbe was born June 15, 1914, in Wheeler to James P. and Mary Rose Green. She was a lifetime resident of Wheeler. She graduated from Wheeler High School and also attended McMurry College.

Mrs. Sabbe was a homemaker, a member of the American Legion auxiliary, Senior Citizens Organization and a member of First United Methodist Church in Wheeler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Sabbe in 1992; a sister; and seven brothers.

Survivors include a son, James Sabbe and wife Carolyn of Wheeler; two grandchildren, Kelli Maddox and husband Haydn of Memphis and Heath Sabbe and Jennifer Wormsbaker of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Brock and Tallon Sabbe and Kenley and Saylem Maddox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church in Wheeler or the Wheeler Ambulance Service.
