Teresa Garza Salas, 64, of Wheeler died Sunday, January 7, 2018, in Amarillo, Texas.
Rosary will be said at 5:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Robertson Funeral Directors in Wheeler. Service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Cornerstone Church in Wheeler with Pastor Erron Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Teresa was born November 13, 1953 in San Miguel, Zacatecas, Mexico to Damian & Esther Rodriguez Garza. She married Apolinar Salas in 1967. She had been a resident of Wheeler since 1984 where she was a cook at Maxey's Steakhouse for over 20 years. She also loved raising chickens, goats, and baby calves. She enjoyed her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sabina; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Apolinar Salas of Wheeler; 5 sons, Antonio Salas of Wheeler, Isidro Salas of Amarillo, Joe Salas of Amarillo, Ricky Salas of Wheeler, and Rolando Salas of Stinnett; 3 daughters, Dora Salas-Dillard of Amarillo, Maria Salas-Duron of Wheeler, and Maribel Salas-Nunez of Wheeler; 3 brothers, Juan Garza, Marcelo Garza, and Domitilo Garza all of Mexico; 4 sisters, Eulalia Salas of Wheeler, Jovita Espinoza, Anita Espinoza, and Maria Garza all of Mexico; 18 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
