WHEELER - M. Murry Sanders, 79, died yesterday.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in First Baptist Church, with Rev. Horace Elliott of Hollis, Okla. and the Rev. Bruce Ridley of Borger, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Sanders was born in Vernon. He moved to Wheeler County in 1916 and to Wheeler in 1951. He and his wife, Effie, were married in 1925 in Whitewright. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Millard Jr. of Gatesville, Raymond of Alpine; Lindon of Pampa and Glen of Manassas, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Dixie Gaines of Wheeler and Mrs. Juanita Starnes of Saginaw; two brothers, Hix of Dallas and Macy of Wellington; five sisters, Mrs. Lera Kenerin of Amarillo, Mrs. Ruby Hedge of Bryan, Mrs. Edna Lamb of Plainview, Mrs. Helen Lamb of Lefors and Mrs. Mildred Moody of North Platte, Neb., 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The daughter of Major Will Jones and Dora Simmons. Effie married Millard Sanders 7 June 1925 in Grayson Co. Tx.. Mother of: Millard Murry Jr., George Raymnd, Weldon Edward, Lowell Lindon, Dixie Laura, Glen Dale and Jaunita Ruth.
