MOBEETIE - Olaf Vinson Sivage, 82, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004.

Gravesode services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wheeler Cemetery with Dr. Steven Waterhouse of Westcliff Bible Church officiating. Arangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mr. Sivage was born April 23, 1922, in Morgan Mill to Louis and Audie Vinson Sivage. He graduated from Texas Tech University and became production manager for Superior Oil Co. before retiring. He then worked at B.T.A. Oil Co. He retired in 1987.

He moved back to Mobeetie in 1988. He was a member of the Wheeler County Appraisal District Board, Briscoe Volunteer Fire Department and Gideons International. He was a veteran of World War II. He attended First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Gaye Hale of Mobeetie and Sue Snider of Houston; one son, Vernon Sivage of Jinja, Uganda; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family sugests memorials be to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214; or to the Memorial for Jinja, Uganda, Seminary, International Mission Board, Office of Finance Department, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.

Visitation will be at Wright Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
