WHEELER - Glenn Sparlin, 72, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Wheeler Church of Christ with Shawn Johnson officiating. Local arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive in Amarillo.

Glenn was born July 7, 1937, in McLean to Doyle and Helen Sparlin. He was raised in McLean and attended McLean High School. Glenn was a 50-year resident of Wheeler. He married Faye Morris in Canadian in 1971. Glenn owned and operated Sparlin's Restaurant for more than 30 years.

Glenn and Faye moved to Lake Eufaula to be camp hosts for 10 years before retiring back to Wheeler in April 2009. Glenn was a Master Mason and a member of the Khiva Shrine. One thing that Glenn loved to do was fish. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jackie Sparlin; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Sparlin; two daughters, Ann Cole of Elk City, Okla., and Yvonne Bradley of Wheeler; and two sons, Jack Sparlin and wife Brenda of Wheeler and Elvan Allred and wife Terri of St. Charles, Mo.

The family suggest memorials be to Shriners Children's Hospital, 6977 S. Main St., Houston, TX 77030-3701; or Wheeler Ambulance Service in Wheeler.

WHEELER — Faye Sparlin, 84, of Wheeler died Monday, June 11, 2012.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wheeler Cemetery with Caleb Sampson officiating.
Inurnment will follow. Arrangements are by Peppers Family Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mrs. Sparlin was born Oct. 31, 1927, to Robert Elzie Feemster and Fannie Belle Austin Feemster. She married Glen Sparlin on Sept. 28, 1973, in Wheeler.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Sparlin of Wheeler and Elvin Allred of St Charles, Mo.; two daughters, Yvonne Bradley of Wheeler and Ann Cole of Elk City, Okla.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elmer Feemster.

The family suggests
memorials be to Wheeler EMS, P.O. Box 1030, Wheeler, TX 79096; or a charity of choice.
