LAST RITES SUNDAY FOR LOCAL FARMER
Death claims O. E. Tucker Saturday after three weeks of illness

A large crowd of friends and relative gathered Sunday afternoon to pay their last respects to Oliver E. Tucker, 43 years old, who died in a local hospital Saturday morning about a4 o'clock. Mr. Tucker underwent a major operation May 4 and had been in a critical condition since that time.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Clements of Plymouth, assisted by Rev. Henry Lamb of Mountain View, Okla., Rev. Alamo Starkey, local pastor, and Rev. A. C. Wood. Interment was made in the Wheeler cemetery with the impressive rites of the Masonic lodge. Burial arrangements were in charge of the M. M. Nix Funeral Home of Shamrock and the Wheeler County Burial Society.

Mr. Tucker was a well known and highly respected farmer of this vicinity. He was born in Arkansas January 30, 1890. For the past five years he had lived on a farm northwest of Wheeler. He had been an active member of the Baptist church since boyhood and was also a member of the Masonic lodge.

Surviving him are his wife and three children, Mrs. Ruth Reed, Erma Tucker and J. Tucker, all of Wheeler. Also surviving are three brothers, John and George Tucker, who live in New Mexico, and Ed Tucker, whose adress is not known, and one sister, Miss Della Tucker, who made her home with him.

The News Review joins friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy.
