WHEELER - John C. Vise, 81, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Dale Meadows of Pampa, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
John C. Vise was born March 30, 1926, in Hemphill County to Gaddy and Ina Mae Vise. He married Rosemary Finsterwald on Dec. 26, 1948, in Wheeler. Mr. Vise enlisted in the Navy, and served in the Korean War. He lived in Wheeler where he worked farming and ranching. He was an active businessman in the Wheeler community for many years.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Vise and Johnn Lynn Vise; and his wife, Rosemary.
Survivors include two sons, James Vise and Kent Vise, both of Wheeler; seven grandchildren, Will Vise, Kelby Imel, Madison Vise, Jamie Vise, Michael Simon, Christian McCabe and Charles Simon; a great-granddaughter, Taryn Vise; and a sister, Evelyn Meek.
