Adolfo Aldo Uribe, 74, passed away on June 22, 2000 at a local hospital. Mr. Adolfo Aldo Uribe was born in San Ygnacio, Texas and was raised in Laredo, Texas. He served in WWII with the Navy in the Pacific Theater. After his return he became a life-long area rancher. Mr. Uribe was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will greatly missed.

Mr. Uribe is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amador Uribe, and his brother-in-law, Francisco "Frank" Zapata.

He is survived by his wife, Ina Uribe, his children, his grandchildren, his brothers, Romeo (Elia) Uribe and Abel (Rosa) Uribe; his sisters, Lilia (Henry) Scott, Hilda (Roberto) Martinez, Raquel Zapata, Celia (Francisco) Ramirez and Aminda (Francisco) Villarreal. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A rosary will be recited Friday evening, June 23, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 716 Loring at Cortez. Visitations will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, June 24, 2000 at 8:40 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Christ The King Catholic Church for a holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at the family's plot at the Uribe Cemetery in San Ygnacio, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.
