Funeral services were held Friday, January 15, 1986 at the First Baptist Church in Wheeler, Texas for Edna Waters.

Mrs. Waters was born in Vernon, Texas February 20, 1907, and moved to Wheeler County the same year. She was married to Fred Waters in 1925 at Wheeler and had lived in Wheeler County since that time. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Waters; a son, Doyle of Borger; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Weatherly and Mrs. Maxey Herd, both of Wheeler; a brother, Lester Hathaway of Mobeetie; two sisters, Ethel Johnson and Ora Moore, both of Deming, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Officiating was Rev. Rod Weatherly, Crosby, TX.; Rev. M.B. Smith, Pampa TX.; Rev. Ralph Howey, Mobeetie, TX.; Rev. Jerry Parker, Wheeler, TX.

Pallbearers were: Dale Greenhouse, Wayne Greenhouse, Harold Greenhouse, Danny Hardcastle, Gary Hardcastle and Donald Ray Waters.
