Richard Albert Watts, 91, died Monday, August 15, 1977.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 1977 in First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Ivey of Amarillo and the Rev. David Campbell, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Watts, born in Franklin County, was a longtime resident of Wheeler. He had lived in Amarillo since 1971. He was a Baptist and a retired farmer.
Survivors include four sons, Edwin of Wheeler, Richard of Altus, Oklahoma, Garland of Pampa and Kenneth Dale of Liberty; three daughters, Mrs. Elmeda Elder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Virginia Patterson of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Mrs. Monta Boyd of Amarillo; two sisters, Mrs. Lora Green of Amarillo and Mrs. Collie Carter of Yuma, Arizona; 29 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pall Bearers were: Albert Chapman, H.B. Krug, Wayne Edwards, Lonnie Miller, Terrill Gunter and Paul Topper.
