J.W. Williams Died Sunday

Funeral services were held at Wheeler Baptist church Sunday afternoon for J.W. Williams, Wheeler resident who passed away Saturday morning at 2 o'clock at his home.

Mr. Williams had been a resident of this community since 1918 and had a host of friends. He had been a member of the Baptist for may yeas and was a devout man. He had been ill about a years.

Mr. Williams was born in Carr ?, in 1864. Moving to Wheeler in 1918 he was engaged in farming for several years. He was married to Mary Brown about 55 years ago.

He is survived by Mrs. Williams and six children: Clessie Andrews and Aaron Williams of Wheeler, Allen Williams of Mo?, Charlie Williams and Martha Coleman of Pomona, Cal., Nora Crofford of Los Angeles. Frank Williams, died in ?

Mrs. Williams is survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Interment was made in the Wheeler cemetery.

Mrs. Mary E. Williams

WHEELER (Spl) - Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Wheeler for Mary Elizabeth Williams, 91-year old resident of Wheeler.

Rev. Frank Ross, pastor, will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. Harold Perdue. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery, under the direction of Kirk Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams was born in Correll County, Feb. 4, 1873 and was married to the late J.W. Williams in 1891.

Survivors include two sons, Allen of Shamrock and Aron of Wheeler, three sisters, Mrs. Clessie Andrews of Groom, Mrs. Martha Coleman of Pomana [sic], Calif., and Mrs. Nora Crawford of Escondido, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
