*Obituary
Funeral services for W.S. Williams, resident of Wheeler County most of the time for the past 32 years, were conducted at the First Baptist Church here last Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. M.B. Smith, in charge, assisted by Rev. James O. Todd, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Shamrock.

Mr. Williams was born in Arkansas, April 23, 1887 and passed away at Shamrock, December 17, 1952 at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 6 days. He had been a resident of Wheeler County the past 32 years except the time from 1949 to August of this year. During that time he had made his home at Springer, N.M. Before retirement, he engaged in farming.

He was a member of the Baptist Church at Bethel at the time of his death.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. W.S. Williams of Wheeler; one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Williams of Skelleytown [sic]; three brothers, Logan and Edward of Commanche, and Sam of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Nichols of Commanche, and Mrs. Ellen Reeves of Houston; and three grandchildren.

Two sons and two grandchildren preceded him in death.

Pall bearers were Dick Guynes, L.S. Aderholt, Herman Topper, Truman Scott, Lloyd Anglin, Fred Waters, Virgil Helton, and E.L. Issacs.

Interment was in the family plot in the Wheeler Cemetery with Kirk-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
