*Obituary
Battie Irene Wilson, 101, died Friday morning, Nov. 22.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Dougherty, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Amarillo and Ricky Pfeil of Wheeler officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Mount Pleasant. She moved to Amarillo in 1926 and to Wheeler in 1983. She owned and operated an upholstery business in Amarillo. She was married to J.A. Wilson, who died in 1945. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Survivors include a brother, Ed L. Smith; and two sisters, Lucy Monroe and Connie Lambert, both of Wheeler.
Pallbearers were: Michael Griffin, Charles Newberry, Bill Owen, Everett Ratcliff, Frank Young, Henry Young.
