Margaret Ann Holt Wilson, 77, of Amarillo died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008.
Celebration of life services will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. W. Winfred Moore, pastor emeritus of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Margaret was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Pampa to Robert and Bonnie Holt. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and the University of Oklahoma, majoring in art. On March 6, 1953, she married the love of her life, J. Ralph Wilson Jr.
Margaret dedicated her life to patient care within the medical community and to friends in need. Through her volunteer efforts, she touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; her parents; a brother, R.J. Holt Jr.; and a sister, Mary Meadows.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Martindell and husband Scott of Keller and Damaris Schlong and husband Dean of Amarillo; her precious grandchildren, Shannon Nicole Martindell and Taylor Scott Martindell; and a godson, John Torrey Hunter. Her family knew "When all else fails, ask Mimi."
The family wishes to thank our caring angels and special friends for their love and support through the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to the Amarillo College Foundation for the J. Ralph and Margaret Wilson Scholarship, P.O. Box 447, Amarillo, TX 79178.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today prior to services at the funeral home.
