Services Are Held For Mrs. Milton Wilson
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 9 at 3:00 P.M. in the Church of Christ in Wheeler, Texas, for Winnie Miller Wilson. Don Stone, minister of the Church of Christ in Bovina, Tex. was in charge of the services with E.M. Borden, local minister, assisting.
Mrs. Wilson was born June 26, 1896 in Erath County at Stephenville, Tex. She died on Tuesday, August 8, 1961 at 12:45 a.m. after a brief illness.
She was baptized into her Lord at an early age and was a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ.
She was married to Mr. Milton Wilson in Erath County on October 14, 1916.
She had been a resident of Wheeler County for 43 years and a resident of Wheeler for three years.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Wilson of the home, seven children, Mrs. Faye Goldfinch of Galena Park, Tex., Mrs. Modeen Jacobs of Silver City, N.M., Mrs. Mozelle Curtis of Hermosa Beach, California, Bernard Wilson of Sudan, Tex., Dow Wilson of Eunice N.M., Dale Wilson of Almogordo [sic], N.M., and James Wilson of Fayetteville, Ark., also by fifteen grandchildren, four brothers, Elbert Miller of Abilene, Tex., Mrs. Annie Sivage of Wheeler, Grady Miller of Bakersfield, Calif., Oscar Miller of Mineral Wells, Tex., and Jack Miller of Mobeetie, Texas.
Pallbearers were Edward Meek, Harold Nash, Herbert Finsterwald, Bob Ramsey, Vernon S. Sivage, and Bill Owens. Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Robison, Levi Reid, Will Finsterwald, O. Nations, Framer Hefley and Ewell Steen.
Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Kirk Funeral Home.
