Wheeler Times - December 27, 1934
Funeral services for Jess M. Marchbanks, who passed away late last Thursday from self-inflicted wounds at his home near Kelton, were held Friday afternoon at the Kelton Baptist church. The last rites were conducted by Rev. Virgil Lollar of Lela, and Rev. Sidney Johnson of Kelton. Interment was made in the Kelton cemetery.
Jess M. Marchbanks was born Dec. 19, 1895, in Summerville county and passed away Dec. 20, 1934, at the age of 39 years and one day. He is survived by the widow and five children; J.D., Juanita, Oneta, Alvin and Grady; the eldest 13 years old and the youngest two. A brother, Harold Marchbanksof Aberdeen, Texas, also survives. He was present at the funeral.
