PAMPA - Ton E. Price, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in The Carpenter's Church with the Rev. Don Rice, pastor of First Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating. Burial will be in Kelton Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Price was born in Kelton. In 1941, he was employed by Phillips Petroleum then joined the Army in 1942. He served with the Fifth Armored Division in the European Theater of World War II.

In 1945, Mr. Price was discharged from the Army and returned to Phillips Petroleum. He retired in 1983. He was a former member of Harrah United Methodist Church, now The Carpenter's Church, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

His second marriage was to Wanda Ensey in 1995 at Amarillo. His first marriage was to Julia Francine Reed in 1941 at Wheeler. She died in 1994.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, LaNell Firth of Pampa and LaDell Price Dwelley of Hopkins, S.C.; three sons, Harry Ton Price of Napa, Calif., Bobby Don Price of Houston and Barry Lon Price of Kelton; a stepdaughter, Mary Sly of Fritch; two stepsons, Gary Ensey of Pampa and Terry Ensey of Borger; two sisters, Ann Cottrell of Brownwood and Doretha Weedman of Phoenix; two brothers, Billy Mac Price of Osso Beach, Calif., and Bill Lackey of Houston; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176; or a favorite charity.
