*Obituary
Melvin Barron, 69, of Colorado City, died on Saturday, May 18,
1991, in Mitchell County Hospital. Graveside services were held
on Monday, May 20 at 4 p.m. at Mitchell County Cemetery under
the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home, with the Reverend Leon
Green presiding.
Barron was born on Friday, January 27, 1922 in Alabama to Oscar and
Lizzie Barron, both now deceased. A Baptist, he was a veteran of the
U.S Army, and an oil field worker.
He is survived by four daughters, Elaine Black of Midland; Janice Clark
and Elizabeth Taylor, both of Weptumpka, Alabama; and Sandy Hall of
Callapoosa, Alabama, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
