COLORADO CITY ~~ Hayward Jack Burns, 63, retired Air Force Sergeant, died Monday in the Veterans Hospital in Big Spring after and illness of several weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Payne Chapel Methodist Church in Colorado City. Burial will be in the Mitchell County Cemetery under direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.

He had lived in Colorado City for several years. He was a veteran of World War II and was active in affairs of the Payne Chapel Methodist Church.

He is survived by one brother, Marion Burns of Dawson, Texas; and three sisters, Mrs. Eddie Coleman of Hubbard City, Mrs. Moody Cloud of Colorado City and Mrs. Katherine Bell of Dawson.
