*Obituary
Gene Emerson, 54, of Colorado City died Friday afternoon in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Earl Shelton and Robert Bracy officiating. Burial w ill be in Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Emerson was born April 28, 1941 in Wortham, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Colorado City. He married Linda McNight on August 12, 1987 in Colorado City and worked for Hutchins Ford for many years. He was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Emerson of Colorado City; his mother, Oletha Gibson of Colorado City; five daughters, Barbara McNight, Freda McNight, Veronica Emerson, LaKisha Emerson and Jennifer Emerson, all of Colorado City; five sisters, Frances K. Emerson, Caroline Salinas and Burnell Gibson, all of Colorado City, Martha Louise Emerson of Snyder and Edie Garrett of Oklahoma City, Texas; four brothers, Thomas Emerson o f Colorado City, Daniel
Emerson, Jr. of Big Spring, William Ross Emerson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Donald Lee Emerson of San Diego, California.
