Family and friends will gather at Dawson County Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Friday June 22, 2018 for a graveside interment service for Juan Alvarado III, age 40 of Lubbock, Texas. An AeroCare medical helicopter unit will offer funeral honors with a "Fly Over" in memory of their beloved Juan. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.

Later on that same Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. there will be a family and friends memorial gathering in remembrance of Juan Alvarado III at 5423 41st Street in Lubbock, Texas.

Juan passed away on Monday June 18, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on January 30, 1978 in Lamesa, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Juan Alvarado and Maria Alvarado.

Juan earned his RN degree and credentials in 1999 along with his BSN. He was a paramedic and was a vital team member of the honored "AeroCare" medical helicopter unit in Lubbock, Texas for eight years until his retirement due to his illness of chordoma brain cancer. Juan was awarded the prestigious EMT Person of the Year 2013 Award. He had an eminence passion to serve in the great profession of nursing, teaching, and helping others. He enjoyed reading and fishing. Juan deeply loved his family and friends and everyone knew him to always joke-around and pull pranks. 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

Survivors include, his daughters, Lauren Alvarado and Eva Alvarado, both of Del Rio, Texas; his sister, Essie Alvarado of Lubbock, Texas; his brother, Noe Alvarado and wife, Maribel Alvarado of Forth Worth, Texas; his sister, Silvia Gonzales and husband, Ralph Gonzales of Lubbock, Texas; his nieces, Ashley Jones and husband, Dalton, Tina Gonzales, and Valarie Gonzales; his nephew, Noe Alvarado; several relatives and friends.
