Lasaro Arredondo Sr.
December 17, 1929 - September 15, 2013

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lasaro Masia Arredondo Sr., 83, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday September 19, 2013 at Saint Margaret Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joesph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.

On Sunday September 15, 2013 Lasaro Arredondo Sr., known by his friends as "El Tolo", went to be with the Lord in peace. He was surrounded by family at the time he became absent from the body and present with the Lord. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was born on December 17, 1929 in Santa Maria Del Oro Durango, Mexico to Francisco and Felicitas (Masia) Arredondo. He married Nieves Castillo on December 17, 1950 in Lamesa; they were married for 62 years.

Lasaro is survived by his wife, Nieves Arredondo of Lamesa; children, Gloria Mireles of Peoria, AZ, Nieves Medeiros of Benton, AZ, Rosa Arredondo of Mesa, AZ, Juanita Arredondo of New Braunfels, Tila Martinez of Lamesa, Larry Arredondo of Odessa, Eddie Arredondo of Boynton Beach, FL, Lasaro Arredondo Jr. of Prosper, and Gilbert Arredondo of Lubbock; sisters, Domitila Arredondo, Carmela Arredondo, Manuela Arredondo; brother, Aberto Arredondo; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Lasaro is preceded in death by his parents, son, Rudy Arredondo; brothers, Jesus Arredondo, and Adam Arredondo; sisters, Berta Arredondo, Placida Arredondo, and Socorro Arredondo; grandson, Justin Arredondo; and granddaughter Rosaria Barrioz. The family suggest memorial to Hospice of Lubbock 3702 21st St., Lubbock, TX, 79410.
