Graveside services for Marmalee Banta, 87, of Lamesa will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Lamesa Memorial Park with Mark Hackett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
Marmalee passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Lamesa.
She was born September 22, 1926 to Robert Presley and Mae (Barham) Jones in Lamesa. Marmalee married Kenneth Banta in Lamesa, where they lived and farmed together. She is survived by sisters-in-law, LaWanna Moore of Lubbock, and Jeannine McKee of San Angelo; nephews, Mike Banta of Lamesa, Dennis Banta of Lamesa; cousin, Bill Banta of Lamesa. Marmalee is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Banta, and her parents. Branonfuneralhome.com
