*Obituary Alton L.
Alton "Cotton" Barkowsky passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. Private services will be officiated by Mike Barkowsky and Ricky Barkowsky. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Social distancing and face masks are required at the service.

Alton was born October 13, 1939 in Lamesa, Texas to George August and Clara Anna (Monthey) Barkowsky. He married Darlene Shackelford on August 29, 1958, they were married 52 years.

Alton farmed in the Klondike area for many years and served on the Klondike school board. He loved God and his family, setting a Godly example for all that knew him. He served faithfully at River of Life Fellowship for the last 21 years. He was a man of honor and integrity who was very successful and blessed in everything he did. Alton was very generous and blessed many people who will miss him greatly.

He is survived by his two sons; Ricky Barkowsky and wife Kelli and Mike Barkowsky and wife Yessenia all of Lamesa; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and a sister Janette Kinard of Lubbock, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Al Barkowsky; sister, Elena Hopper; and brother, Vernon Barkowsky.

The family suggest memorials to the River of Life Fellowship.
