Basilio Barron
April 15, 1930 - December 22, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial for Basilio V. Barron, 84, of Lamesa will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Margaret Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Rosary will be prayed Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.

Basilio passed away, Monday, December 22, 2014 in Lamesa. He was born April 15, 1930 in Gonzales, TX to Eulogio and Santos (Villarreal) Barron. He married Gloria Gonzales June 2, 1956 in Lamesa. They were married 58 years. Basilio began farming at a very young age and did so for his life-time growing close to each of those he farmed with. He was very active in the Catholic Church and was a member at Saint Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. He always welcomed people into his home and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Barron of Lamesa; son, Samuel Barron of Lamesa; daughters, Cecilia Calzada and husband, Oscar of O'Donnell, Celia Billalobos and husband, Albert of Carrollton, Gloria Anna Trevino and husband, Jimmy of Irving, and Delia Rodriquez and husband, Edward of Lamesa; brother, Jose Barron of Lamesa; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended children. The family suggests memorials to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th St., Big Spring, TX, 79720.
