FRIONA — Michael Aragon, 42, of Friona died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, in Irving. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, in St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with the Rev. Ed Sweeney of Amarillo as Celebrant. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona.
Mr. Aragon was born Dec. 18, 1968, in Brownfield. He married Rosa Ela Castaneda in Clovis, N.M., on August 11, 1997, and was a feed mill operator for Cargill Animal Nutrition in Hereford in Friona.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Desiree Aragon of Anton; two sons, Adrian Garcia and Michael Aragon Jr., both of Friona; his parents Joe Gonzales of Friona, Richard and Mary Lou Cox of Amarillo; five sisters, Becky Napihaa of Amarillo, Margie Monreal, Eufemia Cardenas, both of Friona, Nancy Garza of Eunice, N.M., and Rosa Ramos of Hereford, eight brothers, Steve Cox, David Aragon, Robert Aragon, Homer Samuel Cox, all of Amarillo, Manuel Romo and Ricky Luna of Friona, Alfonso Romo of Danville, Ill. and Tony Romo of Eunice; and a grandchild.
