ARLINGTON - Sonya LAUBHAN, 42, died Thursday, August 31, 1995.
Services were September 4 in Emerald Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
Ms LAUBHAN was born in Canyon and grew up in Follett. She graduated from Follett High School. She attended Texas Tech University and West Texas State University and received a law degree from the University of Houston. She married Arnold GROTHUES in 1979 at Houston. She practiced law in Amarillo for a short time before moving to Arlington, where she continued her career as an attorney.
She was active with Amnesty International, Humane Society of North Texas, National Organization for Women, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and United Way.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, Richard and Donna LAUBHAN of Follett; and a brother, Tom LAUBHAN of Follett.
