Jose "Jessie" Jesus Aguillon, 52, longtime Hereford resident, died Friday, January 31, 2014, in Amarillo.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, February 3, 2014, at Victory Family Worship Center with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E 6th Street.
Jessie was born March 9, 1961, in Rio Grande, Texas, to Alejandro and Ester (Mendez) Aguillon. He fell in love on March 6, 2007 in Hereford with Maria Castro Walling. Jessie was a Christian man. He loved his Lord and family. Jessie had a passion for driving trucks, fishing, having BBQ cookouts with his family and friends. Jessie was described by his family, as a great dad, best friend, great cook and all around great guy. He was someone who would always be there for you when you needed him no matter what the circumstance were. He liked to watch the Animal Planet, History and Hallmark channels on TV. Jessie loved family gatherings and just visiting. He was a GREAT man!
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
Survivors include his wife Maria of the home; 1 son, Jose Jesus Aguillon, Jr. of Hereford; 3 daughters, Esther Hernandez and husband Jamie of Hereford, Theresa Aguillon of Amarillo, Cristina Salinas and husband Damian of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Joventino Aguillon and wife Criselda of Rock Spring, TX, Alvaro Aguillon and wife Nena of Hereford; 4 sisters, Lupe Bermudez and husband Baldo, Mary Garza and husband Domingo all of Hereford, Sylvia Aguillon of San Antonio, Janie Ochoa of Fort Worth, 13 grandchildren and one on-the-way.
The family suggests memorials to a charity of choice.
