September 27, 1942 - July 17, 2014
Robert Earl Sonnier passed away on July 17, 2014, at the age of 71. Born in Galveston, Texas on Avenue "R" he enjoyed his childhood on the beach with his mother Betty Sonnier, father Earl "Sonny" Sonnier and his sister Rita.
Robert was a very proud member of the Army National Guard from 1964 – 1970. He loved his country deeply. Robert loved his family and friends, and was passionate about nature and his love for hunting and fishing. Remembering his words "My most peaceful times in life, were my days in the field."
Robert is survived by Mary A. Sonnier, his son Gregory Brian Sonnier, daughter-in-law Karen Sue Sonnier, sister Rita A. McNutt, niece, Lisa Ann White, nephews Howard McNutt and Billy McNutt.
