May Ola Bedwell, age 87, of Leander, Texas, formerly a longtime resident of Lamesa, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. She was born on August 30, 1922 in San Benito, Texas to parents Darrell Franklin Carter and Ada Mae (Williams) Carter. May Ola was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years and member of First Baptist Church in Georgetown.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, M.J. Greenwood; her husband of 22 years, R.T. Bedwell Jr.; her son, Bennie Wyatt Greenwood; grandson, Derrell Greenwood; great-grandson, Dustin Greenwood; two sisters; and six brothers.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kay Crozier of Leander, Texas and Linda Burkett of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughter-in-law, Trudy Howard of Lamesa, Texas; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; numerous nieces; nephews; and friends.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery in Lamesa.
