Graveside services for Robert Houtchens, (Bob) age 88 of Andrews will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Rev. Robert Wingrove officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Houtchens was born in Amarillo January 26, 1934 to Anna Belle (Long) and Robert Harrison Houtchens. He married Peggy (Bradford Robertson) Houtchens in Brownfield on September 26, 1961; they were mar ried for 58 happy years until Peggy's death in April 2020. He was a Baptist and had served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a clerk for 38 years for Sid Richardson and Perry R. Bass Company; he had also worked for eight years for the Midland International Airport. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed playing cards and watching his greatgrandson Braydon, race his dirt bike.

Bob gained his angel wings on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Houtchens in 2020; one son, Robert Robertson; two sisters, two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
