Lubbock - Seminole, Tx.....Funeral Services for Billy D. Coats 81 of Lubbock will be held, Friday, October 15, 2021 at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Joe Lapusan officiating, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home. Billy passed away October 12, 2021 in Gaines County.
He was born a July 17, 1940 in Lamesa, Tx to Lloyd and Nannie Mae Coats. Bill graduated from Seminole High School and served in the U.S Army. He began his career in the oilfield with Harrison Well Service in Denver City, Tx and worked there for several years. He worked for Baker Hughes as a Down Hole Tool Specialist for 20 years. He also drove for Werner Trucking for 12 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Barbara Jackson and Gayla Burton.
