Funeral services for Jimmie Morrison, 81, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church Chapel with Brother Dennis Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Jimmie passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 in Temple.

He was born October 5, 1934 in Boswell, OK to Walter and Allie (Shaw) Morrison. He married Geneva Brown June 6, 1960 in Lamesa. She preceded him in death January 15, 2013. They were married 52 years. Jimmie worked as a fire fighter for Lamesa Fire Department for 25 years.

He is survived by his children, Carol Cozart and husband, Randy of Stanton, Kerri Slatton and husband, Ed Huckins of Killeen, Craig Morrison and wife, Kelly of Lamesa, and Kathy Felty and husband, Kevin of Leander; brother, Delbert Morrison and wife Sue of Duncan, OK; 7 grandchildren, Chad Slatton and wife, Savannah, Mandy Butler and husband, David, Lacy Greene, Michael Morrison, Jordan Morrison, Austin Felty, and Amber Felty. Jimmie is also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Euva Herriage; and brothers, Vernon Morrison, Eldridge Morrison, W.A. Morrison, and Titus Morrison.
