Mark Alan Bush
February 17, 1961 - December 27, 2017

Memorial services for Mark Alan Bush, 56, of Lamesa will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Chris Norris officiating with visitation to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Mark Alan Bush passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 in Lamesa, Texas.

Mark was born on February 17, 1961 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Billy and Fern Bush. He graduated from Lamesa High School in 1979. He married Belinda in September of 1980 and made Lamesa their home for the last 37 years. Mark was a passionate man who enjoyed helping people. In high school, he worked at Claiborne's supermarket and then was the owner of C&C Pest Control, and A-1 Copiers. Since 2000, he has worked in the wine and oil industries. The last few years he was blessed to be a part of the Parsley Energy family. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. He was somewhat of a prankster and he loved a good joke. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and listening to classic rock. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Mark is survived by his wife, Belinda Matlock Bush of Lamesa; his daughter, Jordan Carrion and son-in-law, Juan Carrion of Andrews; son, Rad Bush and daughter-in-law, Ashley Bush of Childersburg, Alabama; four grandchildren who he dearly loved: Abigail, Manuel, Eva, and Paisley; mother, Fern Smith; brother, Randy Bush and sister-in-law, Sharan Bush; nephews Aaron Bush and Eric Bush, his wife, Jackie, and their two children Naomi and Gavin; his wife's father and mother, Jack and Eva Matlock, whom he thought of as parents. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Bush and stepfather, Valton Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Lamesa Gideon Camp, P.O. Box 325, Lamesa, Texas 79331.
