February 4, 1947 - November 21, 2019

Graveside service for Arlan Wade Calhoun, 72, of Lamesa will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Donnie Gary officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Arlan passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Lamesa, Texas.

He was born February 4, 1947 in Lamesa, Texas to Earl and Bonnie (McCasland) Calhoun. He was a truck driver and rancher for many years. He loved to dance and watch horse races. He loved his dog, B.J. and walked many miles with his furry companion.

Arlan is survived by his sisters, Connie Edwards and Holli Mize both of Lamesa; niece, Jennifer Brackeen; nephew, Mason Mize; great niece, Kami Maris and husband, Eric of Montana; great nephew, Steven Shubert of Midland; great great nephews, Logan Miller, Jared Studley and Anthony Studley; and great great nieces, Cheyenne Studley and Vanessa Studley. He is preceded in death by his parents. The family suggests memorials be made to the Cal Farley's Boys Ranch 600 SW 11th, Amarillo, TX 79101 or a charity of your choice.
