Mary passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016, in Amarillo, Texas.

She was born on July 6, 1917 to Lum and Mary Ann Fennell. She married Harley Hoyt Campbell on February 18, 1933 in Durant, Oklahoma. They were married 66 years. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1999. She worked for Lamesa I.S.D for 26 years and retired as food service director. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. If we had to choose one word to describe her, "selfless" is the word. She loved and served better than anyone we\u0027ve known. We could share for days the richness of our lives because of her and not cover it all. The legacy she left behind includes: unconditional love, hard work, baking cookies, teaching multiplication, sewing, playing paper dolls, jumping rope, the best homemade vanilla ice cream, coloring books, dress up, tents out of card tables, making gingerbread, loving Harley Campbell and loving Jesus.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Kay Campbell Freeman of Amarillo; grandchildren, Crystal and husband, Brad Chambers of Amarillo, Randy and wife, Disa Reeves of Lubbock, Melanie and husband, Robert Littlefield of Lubbock, Lesli Reeves of Lubbock, Jill and husband, Mark Adams of Austin, and Julie and husband, James Pringle of Amarillo; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Nerita Janel Campbell and Karen Campbell Reeves; brothers, Raymond, Morris and James Fennell; sisters, Gladys Hobbs, Helen Williams, and Allene Chandler. Family suggests memorials to Amarillo Hospice of the Plains 508 N. Taylor, Amarillo, TX 79107. To send condolences online, please visit www.branonfuneralhome.com.
