Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in West Park Cemetery for Alberto S. Barrera, 79, who died Thursday at his home in Hereford.
Officiating will be the Rev. Andrew Del Toro. Arrangements are being made by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
Mr. Barrera was born at Mission and married Julia Reyna in 1943 in Bishop. They came to Deaf Smith County from Corpus Christi in 1965. He was a carpenter and a member of Templo La Hermosa.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Julia Rubio of Alamo and Mary Lou Cara of Edinburg; a son, Albert Barrera Jr., of Hereford; four brothers, Jose Barrera and Henry Trevino, both of Hereford, Daniel Barrera of San Antonio and Pedro Barrera Jr., of Mission, and eight grandchildren.
