Peggy Ann McKaughan Parker, 76, of Shallowater, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at her home.
Peggy was born on Jan. 13, 1933, in Slaton, to Ernest W. and Ollie (Shrum) McKaughan. She was a nurse at Methodist (now Covenant) Hospital until her retirement. She lived in Shallowater with her son, Ernie, and her brother, Dick McKaughan.
She is survived by her children, Victor Parker of California, Mary (Cindy) Parker of Lubbock, Virginia (Gina) Holdman of Louisiana and Ernest Parke of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Kiser of Lubbock; brother, Dick McKaughan of Slaton; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Talley; and a daughter, Linda Barrentine.
