Elnora Marie Atkins Coleman, 99, of Andrews passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 in Andrews.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate her life at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Please celebrate the life of Marie by visiting www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.
Elnora Marie Atkins Coleman was born May 28, 1918 to Bert and Agnes Syfert at a farm home near Ashton, Kansas. She married Don Atkins on December 21, 1941 in Arkansas City, Kansas and moved to Andrews in February of 1963. Don preceded her in death on May 21, 1973. Marie married Ross Coleman in Odessa, Texas on September 16, 1979. Ross preceded her in death on December 9, 1993. Marie’s sister Viola Brant and brother Elmer Syfert also preceded her in death. Lou Elkins became a great friend to her late in life and preceded he in death on January 23, 2016.
Marie took great pride in being a Pink Lady volunteer. She was awarded the Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year in 2014 and retired from those duties just after the new PRMC hospital was opened with over 21 years of service. Marie also enjoyed being a member of the Victory Singers of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Mark and wife Lisa of Andrews, two grandsons, Ryan and wife Mackenzie of Odessa, Brandon, and wife Megan of Andrews, two great granddaughters, Indie and Adelaide, and one great grandson Rhett; stepdaughter Pat Paschal of Andrews, stepsons, Paul Coleman of Eastland, Texas and Danny Coleman of Breckenridge, Texas
