Services for Dwayne Preston, 60, of Slaton will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Sheffield, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under direction of Englunds Funeral Service.
Preston died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999.
He was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Wills Point. He moved to Slaton from Wilson in 1954. He graduated from Slaton High School in 1957. He married Suzanne Neill on July 13, 1958. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and he was a coach for the girls' softball league. He farmed in the Slaton area, and he owned B&B Vent and Duct Service.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Zoe Strother of Sweetwater and Dava Dee Grammer of Edmund, Okla.; his father and stepmother, Henry and Francis Preston of Slaton; a brother, Harold of Lubbock; two sisters, Evonne Cain and Pat Walker, both of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.
