HEREFORD - Johnny Beltran, 53, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Amarillo.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Trotter and the Rev. Kyle Streun officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Johnny Beltran, 53, longtime Hereford resident, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007, at BSA Hospice in Amarillo.

Mr. Beltran was born Oct. 25, 1953, in Levelland, the son of Juan and Aurora Beltran. He married Peggy Soto on Feb. 23, 1970, in Odessa and moved to Hereford.

Johnny worked for Whiteface Ford in Hereford for more than 10 years in the sales department. He also had been the manager of Champion Feeders in Hereford for many years and a member of the Hereford Lions Club. Johnny never met a stranger, loved his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy; his mother, Aurora Beltran of Hereford; two sons, Johnny Beltran IV and wife Adrienne of Hereford and "J.J." Johnny Joe Angle Beltran and wife Darla of Fritch; two daughters, Jennifer Sanchez and husband Jose and Joni Hernandez and husband Juan, all of Hereford; three brothers, Rudy Beltran of Winters, Walter Beltran of Amarillo and Nicky Beltran of Hereford; three sisters, Connie Martin, Janie Beltran and Eva Mendoza, all of Hereford; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
