William Earl Bill Raven Sr., 77, of Lubbock passed away Dec. 10, 2012. H was born in Marshall, Texas, to the parentage of Albert and Rosie Raven on April 19, 1935. He began his work in Christ's kingdom in the Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and had been a faithful and ardent worker for over 50 years. He worked for Modern Chevrolet, Don Crow, Frank Brown and Womble Olds as a salesman. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Hester, of over 50 years; one son, William Raven Jr. (Robbie), San Angelo, Texas; one daughter, Donna Hayes, Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Josephine Sneed, Lubbock, Texas, and Rosie Lee Alexander, Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives; and his church family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Luke Baptist Church in Lubbock. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery.
